Main Roads WA Basic Worksite Traffic Management

Delivers a basic understanding on the requirements for the implementation of traffic management plans in Western Australia. This course must be completed in conjunction with RIIOHS302A ‘Implement Traffic Management Plan’ and must be completed prior to commencing Main Roads WA Worksite Traffic Controller course.

Face-to-Face: $300.00

RIIOHS302A 'Implement Traffic Management Plan'

Covers the competency required to implement traffic management plans in the civil construction industry. It includes, planning and preparing; setting out, monitoring and closuring down of the traffic guidance scheme; and cleaning up.

Main Roads WA Worksite Traffic Controller

Delivers a basic understanding on the requirements for controlling traffic with a stop/slow bat in Western Australia. Students must have completed Basic Worksite Traffic Management and RIIOHS302A ‘Implement Traffic Management Plan’ prior to commencing this course. This course must be completed in conjunction with RIIOHS205A ‘Control Traffic with a Stop/Slow Bat’.

Face-to-Face: $300.00

Traffic Management Implementation Workshop (Logbook)

Practical workshop to assist in the completion of the logbook assessments required to gain competency in the above mentioned courses. Participants must have completed the theory components of the below mentioned courses and be a MRWA Endorsed Trainee prior to enrolment.

RIICWD503A ‘Prepare Work Zone Traffic Management Plan’ (Non-WA Stream)

Covers the preparation, documentation and completion of work zone traffic management plans in civil construction. It includes preparing and designing the traffic management plan (TMP) and supporting and reviewing its application. This stream is intended for persons in all states (excepting Western Australia).

Main Roads WA Worksite Traffic Manager

Incorporates RIICWD503A ‘Prepare Work Zone Traffic Management Plan’. The course accredits candidates to prepare and endorse traffic management plans in Western Australia in accordance with and up to the planning level specified in Clause 2.2.1 (b) of AS 1742 part 3 – 2009.

RIIRIS501A ‘Implement and Maintain Management System to Control Risk’ (MRWA Advanced Worksite Traffic Management upgrade Stream)

enables holders of RIICWD503A ‘Prepare Work Zone Traffic Management Plan’ and Main Roads WA Worksite Traffic Manager to upgrade to the Main Roads WA Advanced Worksite Traffic Management qualification so that they may prepare traffic management plans of a complex nature.

NOTE: This course is replaced in our course offering by RIIRIS402A 'Carry out the risk management processes'. No new enrolments accepted.

Main Roads WA Advanced Worksite Traffic Management  

course incorporates RIICWD503A ‘Prepare Work Zone Traffic Management Plan’ and RIIRIS402A ‘Carry out the risk management processes'. The course accredits candidates to prepare high-risk (complex) traffic management plans in Western Australia including those in accordance with and up to the planning level specified in Clause 2.2.1 (c) of AS 1742 part 3 – 2009.

National Building and Construction Industry General Safety Induction (White Card)

incorporates CPCCOHS 1001A ‘Work safely in the construction industry’ and is designed for any person working in the building and construction industry. It is a mandatory requirement to work in any building and construction industry workplace in Australia.

The Basic Worksite Traffic Management and Worksite Traffic Controller courses have an ‘endorsed trainee’ component that allows people new to the industry to learn actively on-the-job whilst in training, thus creating a better standard of traffic control across the industry.

We provide training throughout regional Western Australia, at client’s premises or in Perth at the Rovers Lounge at Eftel Oval (Perth Football Club). This training may be subsidised by the Main Roads Regional Training Subsidy, at Main Roads’ discretion.  Clients who are employed (or have been recently employed) in the building and construction industry may be eligible for the BCITF subsidy. 

In addition, all of the courses mentioned above are soon to be offered via an online training system making them available to companies and individuals Australia wide.   This will be especially attractive to people and organisations from rural and remote areas given the ease of access and economy that it affords.  Quality is something to be shared.
